AGV research and development project

The project was co-financed by the European Union under the Regional Operational Programme for the Łódzkie Voivodeship 2014–2020, Priority Axis I: Research, development and commercialisation of knowledge; Measure I.2: Business investment in research and innovation; Sub-measure I.2.2: Business R&D projects.

The project ran from 1 September 2017 to 31 July 2019. Its main objective was to increase Inovatica's innovation and, consequently, its competitiveness in the Polish and European markets by developing and introducing an innovative Situational Awareness System, referred to as the 3S system. This development was carried out through industrial research and development work.

3S combines specialist hardware with proprietary software designed for vehicles operated by electronic controllers. The project assumes operation under defined real-world conditions for two business cases:

  • Agriculture: autonomous agricultural vehicles.
  • Logistics: autonomous vehicles in enclosed spaces, following predefined routes inside industrial halls.

The target group consists of manufacturers and distributors of automated agricultural-machinery systems and vehicles or equipment for internal warehouse transport.
